Suicide is an issue that we all must tackle together. That’s why the Western Australian Suicide Prevention Strategy, One Life, has established a Partnership, which brings together businesses, government, non government and the wider community to effectively address suicide. The Partnership will be a community-led multi-agency collaboration unlike anything WA has ever seen, and your business is invited to be part of it.
Save lives: Recent research findings indicate that suicide prevention initiatives save lives when mental health issues are shared with the whole community, and by improving peer support, suicide prevention awareness, wellbeing and mental health first aid training.
Help projects: Money helps fund the appointments of Community Coordinators, enabling them, as community leaders, to achieve localised and specialised Community Action Plans each year – all within a sustainable long-term framework of stakeholder support networks.
Your business’s brand: Participating in the Partnership recognises your social responsibility to customers and stakeholders and develops brand recognition. It can generate an increase in awareness in mental health, acceptance towards an improved wellbeing and become an effective tool in suicide prevention.
Stay up to date: You’ll get to network with experts in the relevant communities and find out about new research, modern solutions and how well your participation is improving the effectiveness of suicide prevention strategies.
