ARBOR: Active Response Bereavement Outreach – Phone: (08) 9263 2150 (9am to 4:30pm, Mon -Fri) or email arbor@anglicarewa.org.au. Provides recently bereaved (three months to one year), long-term bereaved, Men’s support, and Aboriginal Yarning support groups. All services are free, non-discriminatory, and confidential.

Compassionate Friends: – Phone: (08) 9486 8711 for support specifically for bereavement following the loss of a child.

Salvation Army Hope for Life – Suicide prevention and bereavement support. Counselling line: 1300 467 354.

Australia and New Zealand Parents of Suicide – Online support group specifically targeted towards bereaved parents, as well as family and friends.

For Alcohol and Other Drug Use

Alcohol and Drug Support Line – Phone 9442 500 or 1800 198 024 (country callers). A confidential, non-judgmental telephone counselling, information and referral service for anyone seeking help for their own or another person’s alcohol or drug use. The service is available 24/7 via phone.

Parent and Family Drug Support Line – Phone 9442 5050 or 1800 653 203 (country callers). A confidential, non-judgmental telephone counselling, information and referral service for families and carers concerned about a loved one’s alcohol or drug use. Professional counsellors are available via phone 24/7. The Parent and Family Drug Support Line also has a network of trained parent volunteers who have experienced their own child’s alcohol or drug use. Parent volunteers are available via phone between 8:00am and 10:00pm each day.

Working Away Alcohol and Drug Support Line – Phone 1800 721 997. A confidential, anonymous, non-judgmental telephone counselling, information and referral service to support the health and wellbeing of working away from home communities. The service is available 24/7 via phone.
